Farmland Transitions in China: An Advocacy Coalition Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
In recent decades, global social and economic development has resulted in substantial land-use transitions. This was first observed with respect to losses of forested land, attracting worldwide concern. Forest transitions have an important impact on ecology, whilst farmland are key terms food security. However, research into is lacking, particularly mechanistic analysis. Using data China’s areas between 1950 2017, we investigated the transitional characteristics, triggers, change through linear regression Furthermore, based Advocacy Coalition Framework, reveal internal mechanism these Our main findings as follows: (1) area exhibited significant growth, there were two transitions, namely 1984 2004; (2) macroscopic changes determine overall evolution area; (3) advocacy coalitions transition policy subsystem—the supplement consumption coalitions; (4) under influence development, external events play a catalytic role relatively stable parameters indirect but lasting effect outcomes.

There is a growing recognition that public policy controversies are driven more by value differences than by technical deficiencies. Unfortunately, we have yet to develop, test, and refine systematic approaches for understanding political systems. In this article I explain how the advocacy coalition framework (ACF) can be used as a theoretical basis for understanding political context via a sta...

متن کاملAn Evolutionary Approach to Coalition Formation
In Cooperative Games with Externalities when the members of a set S ⊂ N of agents wish to deviate they need to calculate their worth. This worth depends on what the non-members (outsiders) N \S will do, which in turn depends on which coalition structure the outsiders will form. Since this coalition formation problem is NP-hard, various approaches have been adopted. In this paper using an evolut...

A stable government is by definition not dominated by any other government. However, it may happen that all governments are dominated. In graph-theoretic terms this means that the dominance graph does not possess a source. In this paper we are able to deal with this case by a clever combination of notions from different fields, such as relational algebra, graph theory and social choice theory, ...
